Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Imaging Technologist to join our team at Northern Health Authority. As a key member of our Radiology department, you will be responsible for performing radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, working closely with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures in accordance with established protocols and standards of practice.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely diagnosis and treatment of patients.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams to provide exceptional patient care and service.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures to enhance patient care and safety.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest medical imaging technologies and techniques, and apply this knowledge to improve patient outcomes and departmental efficiency.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited medical imaging program.
  • Current certification with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) and eligible for membership with the BC Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (BCAMRT) and/or CAMRT.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to patient-centered care.
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the position, with the ability to lift, push, and pull equipment as required.
