Position Overview:

Multimatic Inc. is seeking a Millwright to ensure that our manufacturing operations are supported by reliable and well-maintained machinery. The ideal candidate will be expected to work on the Afternoon or Night Shift to meet production demands efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Address maintenance issues promptly to minimize production disruptions.
  • Conduct maintenance and repair tasks across the facility and its grounds.
  • Oversee the upkeep and repair of production machinery and other equipment.
  • Diagnose issues within the plant, office, and surrounding areas as necessary.
  • Keep comprehensive records of all equipment maintenance, including updates in MVP.
  • Engage actively in the Preventative Maintenance Program and initiatives aimed at reducing downtime, adhering to the PMP schedule and completing relevant checklists.
  • Contribute to the introduction and application of new technologies that enhance productivity and quality.
  • Participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge in response to evolving technologies and compliance with safety regulations.
  • Propose improvements for equipment efficiency and cost-saving measures related to manufacturing, repairs, and installations.
  • Document any issues encountered during shifts and prepare necessary reports.
  • Communicate potential problems to the Maintenance Manager and suggest corrective actions.
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment.

Qualifications:

Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to fulfill essential duties effectively. The following qualifications are essential:

Required Qualifications:

  • A valid Millwright license with a preference for candidates with 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Familiarity with paint lines and power and free conveyor systems is advantageous.
  • Experience in MIG, TIG, and stick welding techniques.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing equipment and processes, along with experience in industrial machinery repair.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Effective problem-solving skills.
  • Flexibility to work any of the three shifts as needed.
