Join Our Team as a District Elementary Counsellor

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated District Elementary Counsellor to join our team at School District No. 52 (Prince Rupert). Located in the beautiful north coast of British Columbia, our district serves the communities of Hartley Bay, Port Edward, and the City of Prince Rupert.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance and support to students, teachers, and parents to promote academic success and well-being
  • Develop and implement counseling programs to address the diverse needs of our students
  • Collaborate with teachers and other district staff to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to student support
  • Conduct assessments and develop strategies to support students with diverse learning needs
  • Provide professional development opportunities for teachers and staff to enhance their counseling skills

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Counselling or a related field
  • Valid teaching certification or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience in counseling and student support
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders
