Job Title: Liquor Store Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Liquor Store Supervisor to join our team at Setters Neighbourhood Pub Ltd.

Job Summary:

The Liquor Store Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our liquor store, ensuring that all sales and inventory tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assign sales workers to duties and ensure that all tasks are completed to a high standard.
  • Hire and train or arrange for training of staff to ensure that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
  • Authorize payments by cheque and ensure that all financial transactions are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Order merchandise and ensure that all stock levels are maintained at a high standard.
  • Authorize return of merchandise and ensure that all returns are processed efficiently and effectively.
  • Establish work schedules and ensure that all staff are aware of their duties and responsibilities.
  • Sell merchandise and ensure that all sales are processed accurately and efficiently.
  • Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising and personnel matters and provide regular updates to management.
  • Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints and supply shortages.
  • Organize and maintain inventory and ensure that all stock levels are maintained at a high standard.
  • Supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers and ensure that all tasks are completed to a high standard.
Requirements:
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a supervisory role.
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Knowledge of liquor laws and regulations and the ability to ensure compliance.
