Job Title: Clinical Nurse Lead

AVI Health and Community Services is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse Lead to join our team in Nanaimo. As a Clinical Nurse Lead, you will play a key role in providing leadership and guidance to our nursing staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and promoting a culture of excellence within our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical leadership and guidance to nursing staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and promoting a culture of excellence within our organization.
  • Develop and implement clinical policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational standards.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans, ensuring the needs of patients are met and their outcomes are improved.
  • Provide education and training to nursing staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Conduct regular audits and quality assurance activities, ensuring our services meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
Requirements:
  • Current practicing registration as an RN or RPN with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
  • Minimum 3-5 years recent full scope nursing experience working with people with high levels of poly-substance use.
  • Minimum one year of recent experience in healthcare education, adult education, or program development.
  • Leadership experience within a BCNU or other union work site an asset.
  • Previous experience working in supervised consumption/overdose prevention services or safer supply programs, including experience responding to medical emergencies such as overdose (naloxone administration, airway management, etc.).
