Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled Agronomist I to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with customers by gaining a deep understanding of their business and operations.
  • Providing expert agronomic advice and support to customers on seed, fertilizer, weed, disease, and insect control, and utilizing available resources to inform recommendations.
  • Offering timely crop scouting services, analyzing data, and providing actionable recommendations.
  • Attending growers' meetings and training sessions with the Agronomy team.
  • Monitoring market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify new business opportunities.
  • Collaborating with the marketing and sales teams to develop and implement effective sales strategies.
  • Accurately recording purchases, deliveries, and inventory changes in Tronia.
  • Assisting with information meetings and tours for customers using supplier support.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree or diploma in Agriculture.
  • 1-3 years of agronomy and/or relevant experience.
  • A Class 5 driver's license.
  • The ability to provide outstanding customer service and build strong customer relationships.
  • A comprehensive understanding of agronomy and agricultural products.
  • Proficiency in analyzing complex issues and finding creative solutions.
