Internal Communications Specialist Co-Op Student

Job Summary:

Hydro One Networks Inc is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Co-Op Student to join our Internal Communications team. As a Co-Op Student, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in internal communications, working closely with our team to develop and implement effective communication strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Support the development of internal communication strategies and tactics to engage employees and promote company initiatives.
  2. Assist in the creation of communication plans, products, and strategies for internal clients, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
  3. Write articles and content for internal audiences, showcasing company news, achievements, and initiatives.
  4. Collaborate with internal and external vendors to develop and implement communication products and services, ensuring quality and timeliness.
  5. Support the coordination of photography sessions, video and film productions, and other creative projects.
  6. Develop and manage budgets and schedules to support projects, ensuring timely completion and within budget.
  7. Support the coordination and direct writing service and creative design, including illustration and creative from concept to finished work.
  8. Collaborate with other departmental staff to develop integrated communication plans and tactics.
  9. Perform other duties as required to support the team and company goals.

Requirements:

Enrolled in a College/University program, preferably in Public Relations or Communications. Hydro One requires that all students applying for student opportunities be enrolled in post-secondary level studies and be returning to full-time studies upon the completion of their work term.
