We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at the SHUSWAP LAKE GENERAL HOSPITAL in SALMON ARM, BC.
About the Role:
This is a CASUAL OPPORTUNITY for a Licensed Practical Nurse to work in our Emergency Department. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team, and contributing to a positive and supportive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform assessments and develop care plans for patients in collaboration with the healthcare team
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Provide education and support to patients and families
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of safety
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- Graduation from a recognized program for Practical Nurses or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Current full practicing licensure with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
- Current CPR certification
- Two (2) years recent related experience in an acute care setting
