The Canadian Cancer Society is seeking a highly skilled Specialist, Special Events QC to join our team. As a key member of our Special Events team, you will be responsible for the successful execution and logistics of our high-profile events, including the Souper de la Jonquille of Quebec City and the Gala des Grands Chefs of Montreal.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the overall logistics of events, including venue selection, catering, and audio-visual requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors, sponsors, and volunteers, to ensure seamless event execution.
  • Develop and implement event marketing and promotion strategies to maximize revenue and attendance.
  • Manage event budgets and ensure financial accountability.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Manager, Special Events, to develop and implement event concepts and strategies.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to event attendees, sponsors, and vendors.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience in event management, project coordination, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of successfully executing large-scale events.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and event management software.
