We are seeking a dedicated and caring Early Childhood Assistant to join our team at Kamloops Lollipop Kids Centre. As an Early Childhood Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our early childhood educators in creating a nurturing and engaging environment for our young learners.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist early childhood educators in planning and implementing programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Lead activities that foster a love for learning, such as storytelling, singing, and exploring local attractions.
  • Support educators in maintaining accurate records and reports.
  • Engage children in activities that promote social skills, emotional intelligence, and physical development.
  • Assist with meal preparation and maintaining a safe and healthy environment.
  • Observe children and identify potential learning or behavioral challenges, providing recommendations for support.
  • Participate in staff meetings to discuss progress and challenges.
Requirements:
  • Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field
  • Ability to multitask, work independently, and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Reliability, punctuality, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy environment
