Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Executive Leader to join our team at the Government of Canada - Central. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the strategic direction and operational management of our technology and operations functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership
    • Develop and implement organizational policies and programs to drive business growth and improvement.
    • Establish and maintain effective relationships with senior stakeholders to ensure alignment and support.
  • Operational Management
    • Oversee the allocation of resources to achieve business objectives and ensure efficient use of human, financial, and material resources.
    • Authorize and organize the establishment of major departments and associated senior staff positions.
  • Financial Management
    • Establish and maintain financial and administrative controls to ensure effective management of resources.
    • Formulate and approve promotional campaigns and overall human resources planning.
  • Human Resources Management
    • Select and develop middle managers, directors, and other executive staff to ensure the organization's leadership capabilities.
    • Delegate authority and create optimum working conditions to ensure effective team performance.
  • Representation and Communication
    • Represent the organization in negotiations and other official functions, or delegate representatives to act on behalf of the organization.
    • Ensure effective communication and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience
    • Minimum 2 years of experience in a senior leadership role, preferably in a technology and operations function.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
    • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders.
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, with a strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Work Environment

This is a full-time position, and the selected candidate will be required to work on-site at our office location.
