About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Bakery Production Manager to join our team at COBS Bread Bakery. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality products are produced and delivered to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Product Preparation: Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls, and sweet goods, batters for muffins, cookies, and cakes, and icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders.
  • Baking: Bake mixed dough and batters to produce high-quality baked goods.
  • Staff Training: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Special Orders: Prepare special orders for customers, including custom cakes and baked goods.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that the quality of products meets established standards.
  • Machinery Operation: Operate machinery safely and efficiently to produce high-quality products.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
  • Attention to Detail: Maintain attention to detail to ensure high-quality products are produced.
  • Hand-Eye Coordination: Demonstrate hand-eye coordination to handle heavy loads and operate machinery.
  • Physical Demands: Stand for extended periods and handle heavy loads as required.

Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Experience an asset.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Term: Permanent.
  • Hours: 30 hours per week.
