Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans that address the specific needs of each student.
  • Prepare and deliver lesson plans that are engaging, interactive, and aligned with the curriculum.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to ensure a collaborative approach to student success.
  • Enforce the school's discipline policy and maintain a safe and respectful learning environment.
  • Participate in school-wide initiatives and contribute to the development of a positive school culture.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Education or equivalent degree in Special Education.
  • Special Education certification or equivalent.
  • 2 years of experience in teaching Special Education in a First Nations environment.
  • Member in good standing with the BC College of Teachers.
