Job Summary:

GFL Environmental is seeking a skilled Labourer to join our Industrial Services team in Brantford, Ontario. As a Labourer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our industrial cleaning and maintenance services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily environmental and safety monitoring at our site to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Perform specialized industrial cleaning tasks, including power washing, unloading trucks, and operating forklifts and other equipment.
  • Assist with administrative duties as required, including data entry and record-keeping.
  • Work collaboratively with the Industrial Services Manager to develop and implement effective cleaning and maintenance strategies.
  • Participate in confined space entry and rescue operations as required.
  • Operate aerial boom lifts and scissor lifts as needed.

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of experience in industrial cleaning and maintenance, preferably in a similar role.
  • Experience working in industrial settings and with heavy equipment.
  • Previous experience with vacuum trucks, industrial power-washing, or water-blasting is an asset.
  • Class G license required; AZ/DZ license is considered an asset.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Health and safety conscious and oriented.
