About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Zaika Tastes of India Ltd. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and service of food in our restaurant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Food Preparation

Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that all food is prepared to the highest standards.

Train and Develop Staff

Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures, and provide ongoing support and guidance to ensure they are equipped to perform their roles effectively.

Estimate and Manage Food Supplies

Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, and ensure that all necessary stock is ordered and maintained.

Quality Control and Customer Service

Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, and address any customer complaints or concerns in a professional and timely manner.

Administrative Tasks

Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, and prepare and submit reports as required.

Work Schedules and Planning

Establish work schedules and ensure that all staff are aware of their duties and responsibilities.

Cultural Competency and Awareness

Provide cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.

Requirements
  • Education

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.

Experience

1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service or related role.

Language

English.

Work Hours

32 to 40 hours per week.
