Position Overview

Primary Responsibilities
  1. Oversee programs pertaining to scientific disciplines
  2. Advise executive leadership on environmental matters associated with company operations
  3. Evaluate samples of air pollutants
  4. Conduct scientific research
  5. Document findings and provide recommendations
  6. Manage budgets allocated for environmental initiatives
  7. Monitor compliance with environmental regulations and implement necessary corrective measures
  8. Report findings to management
  9. Offer consulting services to governmental and other organizations
  10. Engage with clients effectively
  11. Develop work plans and budget estimates
  12. Supervise environmental field operations
  13. Guide and train team members, ensuring safety and accuracy in work
  14. Review and approve technical documentation
  15. Collaborate with regulatory bodies, contractors, and other stakeholders
  16. Prepare and send invoices to clients
  17. Achieve billable targets as established by leadership
  18. Occasionally travel as required for project needs
  19. Deliver exceptional service to both internal and external clients
  20. Perform additional duties as necessary
Qualifications
  1. Over 10 years of relevant experience in site remediation, ecological restoration, or environmental science within consultancy, including at least 5 years in project management
  2. Technical diploma or degree in a related field
  3. Possession of a recognized professional designation (e.g., P.Eng, P.Geo, P.Chem, P.Ag) acknowledged in the industry, or the capability to obtain one
  4. Experience with urban site remediation and comprehensive knowledge of applicable environmental regulations
  5. Proven track record in managing complex projects, collaborating with diverse teams, and overseeing budgetary controls
  6. Demonstrated energy, intelligence, and integrity with a commitment to exceptional client service
  7. Experience in leading and working within multi-disciplinary teams
  8. Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
  9. Excellent communication, technical writing, and analytical skills
  10. Commitment to safety standards
  11. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  12. Experience in fast-paced environments
