Southbridge Care Homes is seeking a dedicated Junior Financial Analyst to join our esteemed corporate finance department. Reporting directly to the Accounting Manager, this role is pivotal in supporting financial reporting at the corporate level.

Southbridge Care Homes is a leading operator of long-term care facilities and retirement communities across Ontario. Our mission is to maintain a premier portfolio of care homes and retirement communities that consistently deliver exceptional care and services in a financially sustainable manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee monthly performance metrics, perform variance analysis, and ensure accurate and timely reporting to the corporate reporting team.
  • Engage in the annual budgeting process.
  • Analyze and ensure compliance with all provincial and local regulatory and tax requirements.
  • Contribute to the interim and year-end audit processes, including balance sheet account reconciliations and liaising with auditors.
  • Undertake additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance or a related field.
  • Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation obtained or in progress.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in a financial analyst role.
  • Master's degree in business administration (MBA) with a focus on finance or a finance-related degree is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team.
