Environmental Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Service and Commissioning Technician to join our team at Randstad Canada. As a key member of our environmental management team, you will play a pivotal role in conducting comprehensive assessments and investigations to ensure the safe and efficient operation of our client's facilities.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct Phase One and Two Environmental Site Assessments to identify potential environmental hazards and develop strategies for mitigation.
- Review historical data and conduct site inspections to identify areas of concern and develop recommendations for improvement.
- Monitor and sample soil, groundwater, and surface water to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Implement procedures for air and soil vapor sampling to identify potential environmental hazards.
- Participate in contaminant remediation efforts to ensure the safe and efficient removal of hazardous materials.
- Conduct investigations into hazardous materials to identify potential risks and develop strategies for mitigation.
- Prepare comprehensive technical reports to document findings and recommendations.
- Maintain effective communication with on-site supervisors and project managers to ensure seamless collaboration and coordination.
- Completion of a diploma or degree program with relevant subject matter.
- Demonstrated understanding of groundwater monitoring and sampling techniques, soil descriptions and terminology, with an appreciation for quality assurance/quality control practices.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate seamlessly in a team environment.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle.
