About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team at Jokers Theatre and Comedy Club. As a Kitchen Helper, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces to maintain a high level of hygiene and cleanliness.
  • Food Preparation: Assist in preparing and cooking food, including loading buspans and trays, operating dishwashers, and washing and sanitizing dishes and other items by hand.
  • Food Handling: Handle and store food safely, following proper food handling and storage procedures to prevent contamination and foodborne illness.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, including serving customers at counters or buffet tables, and responding to customer inquiries and concerns.
  • Inventory Management: Assist in managing inventory, including stocking refrigerators and salad bars, and keeping records of food quantities used.
  • Teamwork: Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient and effective kitchen operations.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a kitchen or food service environment.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 pounds, and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Language: English language proficiency required.
