Corporate Accountant Job Description

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Corporate Accountant to join our team at Dreamforce Services Inc. in Oakville, ON. As a key member of our accounting team, you will be responsible for managing the financial records and accounts of our corporate clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Conduct regular financial analysis and reporting to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Prepare and file tax returns, including corporate income tax, sales tax, and payroll tax.
  • Assist clients with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
  • Provide guidance and support to clients on financial matters, including tax strategies and compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulations, and standards.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely and accurate completion of client projects.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing exceptional customer service and addressing any concerns or issues that may arise.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and changes in accounting practices and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in public accounting, preferably with corporate clients.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial analysis.
  • Proficient in accounting software, such as QuickBooks, Caseware, TaxPrep, etc.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Experience with Caseware and TaxPrep software is an asset.
