Role Responsibilities:

This dynamic position encompasses technical, administrative, and fieldwork related to the inspection, planning, and management of municipal infrastructure, including:

  • Stormwater systems
  • Sanitary sewer systems
  • Water distribution systems
  • Pavement management
  • Traffic operations assets
  • Engineering construction projects

You will assess the condition of infrastructure and formulate long-term sustainable utility management strategies. Additionally, you will research, develop, schedule, and oversee relevant projects, including construction initiatives.

Your role will also involve compiling recommendations for capital projects and addressing technical matters while exercising independent judgment in line with engineering standards and departmental protocols.


Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you must possess extensive knowledge of:

  • Municipal stormwater, sanitary sewer, and water systems
  • Pavement management techniques and technologies
  • Design and engineering standards related to municipal infrastructure
  • Construction methods, practices, materials, and equipment for municipal utilities
  • Asset management principles

The ideal candidate will have completed a diploma in a relevant field (such as Civil or Structural Engineering) from a recognized institution, coupled with substantial municipal engineering experience. A valid BC Driver's License is also required.
