Position Overview:

We are currently in search of a dedicated Project Controls professional to enhance our operational capabilities. This role is essential in assisting the Project Manager with various initiatives. The primary duties of a Project Controls professional encompass:

  • Conducting audits, guiding, and implementing new job entries within the system
  • Reviewing invoicing and providing clients with insights on Key Performance Indicators and Schedule Performance Index
  • Managing forecasts and equipment distribution for projects
  • Finalizing FWI's, contract modifications, and procurement authorizations
  • Tracking and reporting on monthly budget and production discrepancies
  • Completing project closeouts and final documentation
  • Training and developing Project Coordinators
  • Participating in the creation, testing, and rollout of new control processes, strategies, and optimization standards
  • Reporting directly to the Project Manager while supporting Superintendents and Project Coordinators

Required Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in Mining Engineering Technology or a Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in project controls, ideally within the mining sector
  • Experience in mining, industrial, construction, or manufacturing environments is preferred
  • Proficient in MS Office, Excel, and project management tools such as MS Project
  • Strong mentorship, communication, and leadership abilities with a capacity to engage with cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrates initiative with effective prioritization, organization, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting
  • Willingness to work at various underground mine sites
