About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Small Wunders Child Care - Burlington. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for our young learners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development: Collaborate with our team to design and implement child-care programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Storytelling and Engagement: Engage children in activities through storytelling, teaching songs, and preparing crafts, fostering a love for learning and creativity.
  • Supervision and Guidance: Supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers, and provide guidance and support to ensure the well-being and development of our children.
  • Record Keeping and Reporting: Assist in maintaining accurate records and preparing reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors, ensuring transparency and open communication.
  • Health and Safety: Plan and maintain a safe environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children, adhering to licensing regulations and best practices.
  • Team Collaboration: Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with colleagues and community service providers, promoting a culture of teamwork and mutual support.
Requirements
  • Education: Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in early childhood education.
  • Certifications: First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate, and other relevant certifications.
  • Personal Qualities: Punctuality, dependability, excellent oral and written communication skills, flexibility, and a commitment to creating a welcoming environment for children and families.
