Position Overview:
Title: Industrial Electrical Technician
Compensation: $47.49 per hour
Work Schedule: 12-hour rotating continental shifts
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute tasks with the utmost professionalism and diligence.
- Independently conduct preventative maintenance, repairs, fabrication, and modifications on the facility's packaging machinery.
- Collaborate with the production team to maintain equipment in a safe and efficient operational condition.
- Engage with plant personnel to perform mechanical tasks.
- Diagnose, adjust, and repair all mechanical systems.
- Assist in the design and installation of new equipment within the facility.
- Participate in the direct training of colleagues as required.
- Adhere to personal protective equipment (PPE) protocols, safe electrical practices, energy isolation procedures, and other safety regulations.
Qualifications:
- Hold Provincial Certification as an Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) or Industrial Electrician.
- Possess 5-10 years of experience in an industrial environment, preferably in flexible packaging.
- Have a thorough understanding of safety regulations, manufacturer guidelines, OSHA standards, and general workplace safety practices.
- Ability to interpret and comprehend basic mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic schematics, or electrical systems/motor controls.
- Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in computer applications and Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Capable of meeting the physical demands of the role.
- Willingness to work 12-hour rotating continental shifts.
