Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Mechanic to join our team at Olymel S.E.C/L.P. in a permanent position. The successful candidate will be responsible for testing and observing electrical and mechanical conditions of equipment, troubleshooting and repairing electric motors, transformers, switchgear, generators, and other electro-mechanical equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Electrical Equipment Maintenance: Test and observe electrical and mechanical conditions of equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Troubleshooting and Repair: Troubleshoot and repair electric motors, transformers, switchgear, generators, and other electro-mechanical equipment.
  • Welding and Brazing: Weld or braze components as required.
  • Training and Development: Instruct apprentices in electrical equipment maintenance and repair techniques.
  • On-Site Servicing: Perform on-site servicing and repair of electrical equipment.
  • Testing and Quality Control: Test repaired motors, transformers, switchgear, or other electrical apparatus to ensure proper performance.
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP diploma in a related field.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in electrical equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Language: Fluency in French is required.
  • Specialization: Experience in the green economy sector and specialized environmental skills and knowledge are an asset.
  • Personal Suitability: Accurate, client-focused, and a team player with excellent communication skills.
