Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Mechanic to join our team at Olymel S.E.C/L.P. As an Electrical Mechanic, you will be responsible for testing and observing electrical and mechanical conditions of equipment, troubleshooting and repairing electric motors, transformers, switchgear, generators, and other electro-mechanical equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Test and observe electrical and mechanical conditions of equipment to identify potential issues
  • Troubleshoot and repair electric motors, transformers, switchgear, generators, and other electro-mechanical equipment
  • Weld or braze components as needed
  • Instruct apprentices and provide guidance on electrical and mechanical procedures
  • Perform on-site servicing and repair of electrical equipment
  • Test repaired motors, transformers, switchgear, or other electrical apparatus to ensure proper performance
Requirements
  • College/CEGEP diploma in a related field
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in electrical maintenance or repair
  • Specialized knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
  • Ability to work in a noisy environment
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
