Job Description

Position Overview

The Integration Specialist will play a key role in implementing BMC-ITSM projects, requiring a wide range of knowledge with ITSM applications. Emtec emphasizes quality soft skills, particularly around communication and generating confidence with new or existing clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop data integration objects and data processing flow using current tools and software.
  • Act as the technical lead for initiatives involving data translation or integration development.
  • Resolve highly complex technical data communication and transformation issues.
  • Design, test, and implement data translation objects (maps).
  • Troubleshoot technical issues related to data transformation and flow.
  • Analyze customer system and data specifications and provide gap analysis.
  • Create documentation for future reference, training, and support purposes.

Work Environment

Emtec offers a hybrid work model, with remote work currently available. There may be opportunities for onsite work in Ottawa with the ability to work remotely from home and travel occasionally when required.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience working as an Integration Specialist implementing BMC-ITSM projects or 5+ years ITSM project integration experience with the ability to complete BMC certification within a 6-week period.
  • Proven functional skills working on full life-cycle ITSM projects.
  • Understanding of ITSM technology, including ITSM applications, administration, and development, ITSM Server administration, development, and tuning, and integrating multiple products together in an enterprise architecture.
  • University degree or College diploma.
  • Ability/willingness to work onsite at clients in Ottawa, ON, Canada.

Preferred Qualifications

  • ITIL v3 or ITIL mastery highly desirable.
  • Valid Government of Canada security clearance.

Professional Skills

  • Strong ability to manage client relationships.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, creativity, and insight with the ability to dissolve crisis situations with clients.
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills, comfortable in front of a technical or managerial audience, and able to lead a workshop or small-scale training course.
  • Excellent written communication ability, creation of quality presentations, white papers, etc., and writing technical grids for proposal responses.
  • Strong analytical and overall technical skills.
