Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and Finishing
    • Measure, cut, and install drywall sheets to meet project specifications
    • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound
    • Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints to achieve a smooth finish
  • Site Preparation and Safety
    • Erect and install scaffolding, falsework, and other working platforms to ensure safe access to work areas
    • Work at heights, on scaffolding, or swing stages to complete installation tasks
  • Communication and Teamwork
    • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to understand project requirements
    • Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of projects
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • No degree, certificate, or diploma required
    • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in drywall installation
  • Work Environment
    • Work in a commercial, industrial, or various locations setting
    • Exposure to dusty and noisy environments
  • Physical Demands
    • Ability to stand for extended periods, walk, and work at heights
    • Manual dexterity and ability to handle heavy loads
  • Personal Qualities
    • Flexibility, reliability, and ability to work under pressure
    • Team player with excellent communication skills
Working Conditions
  • Work 40 hours per week
  • Own vehicle required for transportation to work sites
Language and Tools
  • English language proficiency required
  • Hard hat, mask, safety glasses/goggles, steel-toed safety boots, and tools required
