Construction Laborer

Rama drywall is seeking a skilled Construction Laborer to join our team. As a Construction Laborer, you will be responsible for assisting our drywall construction team with various tasks, including loading, unloading, and transporting construction materials. You will also be involved in mixing, pouring, and spreading materials such as concrete and asphalt, as well as removing rubble and other debris at construction sites.

Work Site Environment

As a Construction Laborer, you will be working at heights, in dangerous conditions, and in dusty environments. You will also be exposed to cold and refrigerated temperatures.

Work Setting

You will be working at various locations, including construction sites and warehouses. You will be required to travel to different sites, and your employer will cover your travel expenses.

Tasks and Responsibilities

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Loading, unloading, and transporting construction materials
  • Mixing, pouring, and spreading materials such as concrete and asphalt
  • Removing rubble and other debris at construction sites
  • Assisting the drywall construction team with various tasks
Certificates, Licenses, Memberships, and Courses

You will be required to hold a Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.

Equipment and Machinery Experience

You will be required to have experience with drills and other construction equipment.

Construction Specialization

You will be working in the industrial, commercial, and institutional sectors, as well as in residential construction.

Transportation/Travel Information

You will be required to travel to different sites, and your employer will cover your travel expenses.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

You will be required to handle heavy loads, work in overtime, and be able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).

Own Tools/Equipment

You will be required to bring your own tools, including steel-toed safety boots, a hard hat, safety glasses/goggles, gloves, ear plugs, and a safety vest.

Personal Suitability

You will be required to be flexible and a team player.

Screening Questions

You will be required to answer a series of screening questions, including whether you are currently legally able to work in Canada.
