Cannabis Oil Production Specialist

Position Overview: The Extraction Associate plays a crucial role in ensuring that the daily operations of the oil extraction process are carried out efficiently, safely, and securely. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the preparation, filtration, and dilution of cannabis oil, as well as bottling, weighing, and labeling. All tasks must be performed in a timely manner and adhere to the quality standards set by the quality assurance team. After successfully completing a minimum of six months of training, candidates may have the opportunity for advancement to the role of Extraction Technician, contingent upon demonstrating the required skills and performance in their current position. Weekend shifts may be necessary based on production demands. Key Responsibilities:- Work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Ensure the safety and productivity of all personnel in the department.
- Maintain security protocols for the department and facility during assigned shifts.
- Adhere to all safety and operational procedures while ensuring a clean and safe working environment in line with production and quality standards.
- Facilitate clear communication between management and team members.
- Promptly report any incidents (such as inventory discrepancies, accidents, or equipment malfunctions) to supervision.
- Produce and prepare cannabis oil products to meet daily production targets, including: Extraction, Milling, Decarboxylation, Dilution and Filtering, Bottling, Inventory Refinement, and Winterization.
- Perform additional duties as required or as circumstances dictate.
- Thorough understanding of the established values and strategies of Tilray Brands.
- Ability to analyze situations rationally and make informed decisions aligned with the company's mission.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; proficient in mathematical and computational tasks.
- Capability to motivate team members to meet production schedules.
- Familiarity with quality control procedures implemented by the company.
- Operational knowledge of processing equipment and techniques (e.g., scales, extraction machinery).
- Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- At least two years of experience in a production role within the food or health product industry.
- Demonstrated experience in a production-focused position.
- High School diploma is mandatory.
- Completion of a post-secondary program is preferred.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Willingness to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for prolonged periods (e.g., face masks, gloves, lab coats, hair nets).
- Capability to work in a secure and enclosed environment.
