Job Title: Full-Time Professor

Algonquin College is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Full-Time Professor to join our faculty team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching courses in the Computer Programming program within the School of Advanced Technology.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, revise, and update courses to meet the learning needs of 21st-century students.
  • Teach assigned courses, including delivery of regularly scheduled instruction in the Winter, Spring/Summer, and Fall terms.
  • Provide academic leadership, including guidance to students, instructors, and part-time professors relative to the professor's teaching assignments.
Requirements:
  • Ontario College Advanced Diploma (3 years) in the discipline of Computer Programming or a related discipline/field.
  • Minimum two (2) years of teaching experience, or equivalent, preferably in a postsecondary setting.
  • Minimum five (5) years practical experience related to the field of study.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Practical experience with multiple programming languages, including Object-Oriented programming.
  • Practical experience in network programming, including CCNA certification and Java network programming.
  • Practical experience with database management systems, including MySQL and Oracle.
