Job Description

Job Title: Full-Time Professor

Department: ICT, Applications & Programming

Position Type: Full-Time Academic

Salary Range: $73,079 to $126,689 per annum

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Professor to join our faculty in the Computer Programming program. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching courses, designing curriculum, and providing academic leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach courses in the Computer Programming program
  • Design and revise curriculum to meet the needs of students
  • Provide academic leadership and guidance to students and colleagues
  • Stay current in the field of study and maintain awareness of emerging trends and practices
  • Model the College values of Caring, Learning, Integrity, and Respect

Requirements:

  • Ontario College Advanced Diploma in Computer Programming or a related discipline
  • Minimum two years of teaching experience or equivalent
  • Minimum five years of practical experience related to the field of study
  • Practical experience with multiple programming languages, including Object-Oriented programming
  • Practical experience in network programming and database management systems
  • Ability to leverage industry connections to source quality in-class projects
  • Demonstrated knowledge of student success strategies in a postsecondary setting
