Lecturer in Cellular Microbiology

Position Overview: This role involves delivering a comprehensive curriculum focused on the latest developments in cellular microbiology. The course will cover essential topics such as cellular mechanisms involved in microbial pathogenesis and the ways in which cells recognize and eliminate pathogens.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver engaging lectures and tutorials.
- Facilitate student discussions and evaluate oral presentations.
- Create and grade quizzes, written assignments, and examinations.
- Hold office hours to provide academic support.
- Perform various administrative tasks related to the course.
Qualifications: Candidates should possess or be nearing completion of a Ph.D. in a relevant field, with a strong background in cellular microbiology and host-pathogen interactions. Familiarity with current literature and prior teaching experience is preferred.
Additional Information: The position requires in-person delivery of all lectures and assessments. Teaching Assistants may be assigned to support the course, contingent upon sufficient enrollment.
This position is governed by the CUPE 3902 Unit 3 Collective Agreement.
