Job Overview

Cheemsbro Custom Homes Ltd is seeking a dedicated and skilled Plasterer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in plastering and drywall installation, ensuring high-quality finishes for our residential projects.

Qualifications
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 3 to 5 years in plastering and drywall work
Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to assess project requirements.
  • Provide guidance and training to apprentices in plastering techniques.
  • Apply multiple layers of compound and meticulously sand seams and joints.
  • Skillfully apply, level, and smooth plaster coatings.
  • Prepare and clean surfaces prior to plaster application.
  • Ensure proper curing of freshly plastered surfaces.
  • Utilize joint compound to fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks using a trowel and broad knife.
  • Finish corners and angles, and create decorative designs in the final coat as needed.
  • Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets accurately.
  • Mix plaster ingredients to achieve the desired consistency.
  • Secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists effectively.
  • Smooth out excess compound and allow it to dry properly.
  • Apply acoustic or texture materials to walls and ceilings as required.
