Job Title: Senior Researcher

Job Summary:

The Senior Researcher will lead and contribute to complex research initiatives that support the activities of BC Housing. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of equity analysis, research methods, and policy development. They will prepare knowledge mobilization plans, write communication materials, and disseminate research findings to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage complex research projects, develop research frameworks, analyze data, and produce reports and recommendations.
  • Apply advanced theoretical and conceptual frames, such as intersectionality and critical theory, to research projects.
  • Use software for qualitative data analysis, statistical analysis, and database management.
  • Work with diverse stakeholders, including Indigenous communities, and apply frameworks such as reconciliation, intersectionality, and human rights.

Education and Experience:

  • Master's degree in Social Sciences, Urban Studies, or a related field.
  • Considerable experience in research, policy development, and stakeholder engagement.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Considerable knowledge of research methods, policy development, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Ability to develop research documents, operationalize research projects, and evaluate ongoing research.
  • Ability to facilitate stakeholder engagement, present research findings, and mobilize stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.

Working Conditions:

The Senior Researcher will work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects and stakeholders. They will require strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
