Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Designing and executing components of educational programs that adhere to UDL principles.
- Building and nurturing networks to enhance collaboration and capacity among faculty and staff.
- Conducting thorough assessments and evaluations to guide program development.
- Analyzing learning outcomes to inform future educational initiatives.
- Researching and summarizing curriculum trends to support instructional staff.
- Providing expert advice to instructors on curriculum development and delivery strategies.
- Facilitating workshops and seminars focused on inclusive teaching practices.
- Acting as a resource for specialized issues within the educational community.
Essential Qualifications:
Candidates must possess:
- A Master’s Degree in education or disability studies, or a comparable combination of experience.
- A minimum of five years of relevant experience in educational development.
- A comprehensive understanding of UDL principles and their application in educational settings.
- Knowledge of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and the challenges faced by students with disabilities.
- Experience in university-level instruction, program planning, and curriculum development.
- A demonstrated commitment to inclusive pedagogy and educational equity.
- Strong communication, facilitation, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Learning Management Systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
While not mandatory, the following are considered assets:
- Membership in professional organizations related to educational development.
- Experience in post-secondary teaching.
