Position Overview

FortisBC is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to support the Community & Indigenous Relations team in a variety of tasks, including stakeholder engagement and major projects initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build and maintain relationships with local communities, municipalities, and Indigenous communities
  • Provide administrative support to the Community & Indigenous Initiatives team, including stakeholder tracking, communications, event planning, and attending internal and external project meetings
  • Develop and deliver presentations to stakeholders and team members
  • Perform administrative duties as assigned, including data entry and record-keeping
Requirements:
  • Enrollment in an undergraduate post-secondary program in a related field (3rd or 4th year required)
  • Enrollment in a Co-op program
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to network and develop collaborative relationships
  • Ability to manage inquiries from public and key stakeholders in an educated and professional manner
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office, with experience in Sharepoint an asset
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work well with minimal supervision
