We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Corporate Banking Associate to join our team at The Toronto-Dominion Bank (Canada). As a key member of our credit team, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of credit submissions, conducting market and client research, and working closely with our Vice President & Director to ensure that loan and security documentation reflects the details of the credit authorization.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the preparation of credit submissions for assigned Borrower accounts, ensuring that all necessary documentation is complete and accurate.
- Conduct market and client research to support the ongoing risk assessment process, identifying potential risks and opportunities for growth.
- Work closely with our Vice President & Director to ensure that loan and security documentation reflects the details of the credit authorization, and that all credit reviews include sensitivity analysis appropriate for the risk at hand.
- Monitor market and client developments to ensure that client risk ratings are accurate and reflect all relevant material information.
- Coordinate with Origination in the preparation and presentation of Loan Capital Committee analysis and documentation.
- Review documentation, identify and communicate credit risk issues, legal concepts, and solutions effectively.
- Work closely with assigned Vice President & Director in meeting team objectives, and contribute to the development of business strategies and plans.
- Well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure and tight deadlines, establish priorities and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Superior financial and analytical skills, with strong verbal and written communication and problem-solving skills.
- Proactive and highly motivated, able to work independently and in a team environment.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Excel, with experience in financial modeling and analysis.
- 3 to 5 years credit experience required, with an MBA graduate preferred.
- CFA an asset.
