Job Title: Child and Youth Care Practitioner

Halifax Regional Centre for Education (HRCE) is seeking a skilled Child and Youth Care Practitioner to join our team. As a key member of our SchoolsPlus Program, you will work collaboratively with school teams to provide proactive supports for children and youth with social, emotional, and/or behavioral challenges.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with school teams to develop and implement individualized support plans for students
  • Provide counseling and therapy services to students, families, and caregivers
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community agencies and resources to support student success
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary diploma or certificate in Child and Youth Care or a related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working in an educational setting
  • Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification
  • Valid NVCI training (or willingness to be trained)
