SAP BODS HANA Specialist

We are seeking a skilled SAP BODS Consultant for a long-term contract opportunity. This role offers the potential for continued engagement and is designed for professionals with expertise in data management and analytics.

Compensation: $70 - $75/hour. Employee benefits may include health insurance (medical, dental, vision), a 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave based on work location.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement dimensional models for customer reporting systems utilizing HANA/Sybase IQ. Populate star schemas with historical customer data.
  • Create SQL procedures and data services jobs to facilitate the data loading process.
  • Design and generate dashboards and reports to fulfill reporting requirements in HANA.
  • Examine monthly snapshot data from the Sybase IQ database for predictive analytics based on user inquiries.
  • Establish Type-3-dimension tables or calculation views in HANA to produce star schemas and data cubes with historical data.
  • Design a change data capture mechanism to refresh dimension tables and fact tables or calculation views following each monthly data load.
  • Construct star schemas and dimension tables with necessary measures and attributes to support all predictive analytic needs.
Essential Qualifications and Technical Expertise:
  • Proficiency in dimensional modeling
  • Experience with SAP Sybase IQ and SAP data services
  • Knowledge of predictive analytics
  • Familiarity with large database environments
  • Experience with range partitioned tables
  • Proficient in Business Objects or similar reporting tools
  • Expertise in designing and loading star schemas
  • Strong skills in SQL, T-SQL, and stored procedures
  • Experience with SAP HANA, including dashboard creation and report generation using HANA modeling views, and familiarity with third-party reporting tools integrated with HANA.
  • Requires a Bachelor's degree with relevant experience or a Master's degree, or 5 - 7 years of experience with a PhD.
