Lead Environment Artist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Environment Artist to join our team at Electronic Arts. As a key member of our Battlefield team, you will be responsible for creating realistic environments, inspiring incredible artwork, and helping to define our production techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Art Directors to support Environment artists in delivering high-quality environments.
- Guide artists and work with project managers to determine budget, project scope, and deadlines.
- Refine and review environments delivered from external sources to ensure they meet our quality standards.
- Work with leads across disciplines to create environments that meet both artistic and technical requirements.
- Nurture a sense of ownership within the team, allowing artists to control their work where possible.
Requirements:
- At least 3+ years of experience leading an environment art team.
- Shipped 1 or more AAA game(s) on multiple platforms.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong capability in backlog and time management, organization skills, and scoping to deadlines and constraints.
- Ability to manage the team's workload through planning and delegation.
- Experience with environment art workflows, including asset placement and production, level creation, photogrammetry, and PBR texturing.
- Solid understanding of environment aesthetics, function vs. form relationships, and what makes a game level fun and intriguing.
- Thorough understanding of architecture and nature.
- Proficient knowledge of Maya, Substance Painter, and/or other 2D/3D software packages.
- Deep knowledge of environment production process with an interest in collaborating with stakeholders to improve the way we work.
