Assistant Professor in Physical Geography

The Department of Geography and Environment, part of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences and Faculty of Natural and Applied Science at Trinity Western University, is seeking candidates for a tenure-track faculty role at the assistant professor level. The successful candidate will engage in teaching within established undergraduate programs in Geography and Environmental Studies while maintaining an active research agenda in their area of expertise.
The ideal applicant will possess the ability to deliver courses from a multidisciplinary perspective in physical geography, covering subjects such as Geomorphology, Geology, Soils, Climatology, and Environmental Chemistry. Additionally, the candidate should be prepared to develop new courses in areas like Hydrology, Biogeography, and Agroecology. Proficiency in instructing Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is preferred. The candidate may also be tasked with teaching introductory courses in Geography and Environmental Studies.
