Summer Camp Supervisor - Municipality of Chatham-Kent

The Municipality of Chatham-Kent is seeking enthusiastic individuals for the role of Summer Camp Supervisor. This position is ideal for those who have a passion for working with youth and possess the skills to design and implement engaging activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Exemplify core values and competencies
  • Serve as a positive influence for camp participants
  • Oversee daily camp operations, including meal times
  • Maintain communication with parents as necessary
  • Develop age-appropriate activities that cater to campers' interests

Required Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a program related to recreation or child/youth education
  • Experience working with children aged 4-12 years
  • Prior experience in a camp leadership role is advantageous

Necessary Certifications:

  • Standard First Aid and CPR certification
  • High Five Principles of Healthy Child Development certification

Additional Requirements:

  • Possession of a valid Ontario driver's license and access to a vehicle
  • Completion of a clear police reference check

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to bend, walk, reach, lift, and stand for extended periods
  • Fine motor skills for effective program delivery and administrative duties
