Job Title: Early Childhood Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Early Childhood Assistant to join our team at Starlight Child Care Ltd. As an Early Childhood Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of our child care centre and contributing to the development of our young learners.

Job Summary:

The Early Childhood Assistant will work under the supervision of our Early Childhood Educators to provide high-quality care and education to children aged [insert age range]. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with daily routines, planning and implementing activities, and maintaining a safe and healthy environment for our children.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with daily routines, including bathing, diapering, and feeding infants and toddlers
  • Support Early Childhood Educators in planning and implementing activities that promote physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment, including cleaning and organizing the play area
  • Assist with supervising children during activities and ensuring their safety
  • Communicate with parents and guardians regarding their child's daily activities and progress
  • Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the development of policies and procedures
Requirements:
  • Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate or equivalent
  • First Aid and CPR Certification
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
