The salary range for this position is $88,990 to $127,923, determined by qualifications and experience.
Impact Creation:
The Improvement Consultant will provide leadership and expertise, including coaching, facilitation, and education in quality improvement methodologies, supported by Interior Health.
This role promotes the integration and standardization of evidence-based practices, aligning with the Quality and Patient Safety Strategic Plan.
As a vital member of the Interior Health Quality and Patient Safety program, the Improvement Consultant collaborates with healthcare leaders, managers, and physicians to lead and evaluate improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing care quality, service utilization, safety, and risk management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enhancing capacity through education and training in quality methodologies, including lean management and quality system development.
- Supporting the development and implementation of best practices for quality improvement across the organization.
- Participating in serious incident reviews, providing reports, and recommending actions based on investigations.
In alignment with Occupational Health & Safety policies, employees must adhere to safety procedures and report any hazards or incidents immediately.
Areas of Focus:
- Providing leadership to foster a culture of continuous quality improvement.
- Facilitating the integration of measurable quality improvement initiatives, aligning efforts with IHA quality service teams.
- Collaborating with leaders and staff to offer quality management expertise in planning and evaluating quality initiatives.
- Leading the integration of accreditation principles with local initiatives and coaching teams in self-assessment and survey preparation.
- Delivering education on Lean principles, change management, and facilitation skills to support individual development.
- Applying Lean methodologies to execute process improvement initiatives across various clinical and corporate settings.
