About the Role

As a key member of our educational services team, you will play a vital role in supporting students in the youth and adult sectors to achieve their academic and career goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and advise students on their academic and career paths, using various assessment methods to identify their strengths, interests, and goals.
  • Develop and implement an academic and vocational guidance service that meets the needs of students, schools, and the community.
  • Provide guidance and support to students in their search for educational and career opportunities, helping them to overcome challenges and achieve their goals.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans, ensuring that students receive the support they need to succeed.
  • Contribute to the detection and identification of students experiencing difficulties, working with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement interventions to support their success.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date on best practices in academic and vocational guidance, and to share knowledge and expertise with colleagues.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Counselling, Education, or a related field
  • Knowledge of Nunavik and its students
  • Frequent travel to all 14 communities of Nunavik
