Role Summary:
In the capacity of Chief Financial Strategist, you will be instrumental in shaping the financial direction and strategic decision-making of our organization. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), your responsibilities will encompass comprehensive financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analytical oversight to deliver strategic insights to senior management and key stakeholders. This role is critical in establishing and refining financial reporting and analytical frameworks to ensure that actionable business data is readily available for the Executive team.
- Spearhead the enhancement of global financial systems to ensure precision in all financial planning, forecasting, and reporting activities.
- Collaborate closely with the Senior Leadership Team to synchronize departmental strategies and budgets with the overarching objectives of the organization.
- Analyze historical and current financial performance against budgetary expectations and develop models to assist management in comprehending the financial implications of business decisions.
- Prepare and supervise monthly, quarterly, and annual financial budgets and reports, including management discussions to convey financial performance, business trends, and strategic insights.
- Establish and maintain KPI dashboards and trends for the organization, as well as for business unit and department leaders.
- Act as a trusted financial advisor to business unit and department heads.
- Provide essential insights to leadership in preparation for board discussions.
- Oversee initiatives aimed at enhancing profitability through strategies related to sales optimization and margin management.
- Review contract drafts for financial terms to assess potential risks and for budgetary evaluation.
- Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and regulatory developments to offer strategic financial advice and recommendations.
- Advanced degree in Finance and/or Accounting is preferred.
- Experience within a global SaaS environment is advantageous.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and trends.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all organizational levels.
- Proven leadership experience, with a track record of managing and developing a team of financial professionals.
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting software/tools.
- A dynamic team player with a keen attention to detail.
- Capability to conduct in-depth analyses of financial performance and implement forecasting methodologies.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to build relationships, foster consensus, and drive strategic decisions.
