Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Days Inn & Suites Sault Ste Marie. As a key member of our food and beverage team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of service and food preparation in our restaurant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of food service staff, including food preparation, portioning, and presentation.
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation and ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
  • Prepare and submit reports to management on a regular basis.
  • Develop and implement methods to meet work schedules and ensure efficient service delivery.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform tasks that require a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
