Position Overview

The HVAC Sales Representative will oversee a variety of projects, engaging in both Inside and Outside Sales responsibilities. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in quoting, proposal preparation, order processing, and troubleshooting. Effective communication, self-motivation, and a commitment to continuous learning are essential. The ability to adapt to shifting priorities and respond promptly is also required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Negotiate contracts and maintain awareness of market trends.
  • Provide insights to the Estimating team regarding bids and pricing, including workload forecasts for managed projects.
  • Assist engineers with product selection and project layout.
  • Review purchase orders and bid documents to maximize profitability.
  • Prepare PBY files for the support team to facilitate submittals.
  • Create submittals in the absence of the Project Manager or support team.
  • Assist with Technical Submittals for the support team.
  • Process customer orders in the absence of the support team after receiving approved submittals.
  • Manage and process Change Orders and Site Instructions, including pricing adjustments.
  • Resolve discrepancies with customers or site contacts regarding orders.
  • Track orders and deliveries, providing estimated arrival times to customers.
  • Notify customers upon order arrival and coordinate delivery if necessary.
  • Complete project closeouts, ensuring full invoicing and submission of maintenance documentation.
  • Provide quotes for jobs not listed on bid boards, including email requests.
  • Enter quotes with appropriate product codes as per the Branch's Handbook.
  • Train staff on all aspects of the sales process to maintain expected service levels.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service with a focus on a Customer First approach.
  • Continuously enhance service quality to meet client expectations while minimizing costs and strengthening the company's competitive edge.
  • Ensure adequate service levels and conduct reviews to identify causes, effects, and necessary corrective actions.
  • Engage in self-education and attend manufacturer training sessions to stay updated on product developments and software tools.
  • Build and maintain sustainable customer relationships through open communication.
  • Represent the company at site meetings as required.
  • Assist with customer events as needed, including open houses and lunches.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
