**About the Role**

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Junior CAD Technician to join our engineering/design team at McIntosh Perry. As a Junior CAD Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting the creation and modification of technical drawings and plans using computer-aided design software.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Prepare detailed drawings and plans, including plot plans, PFD's, P&IDs, piping plans, and isometrics, in accordance with engineering specifications and client requirements.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in producing and updating P&IDs, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Maintain drafting quality control and interface with other disciplines to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, advancements in software, and internal processes to continuously improve skills and knowledge.
  • Contribute to special projects, such as developing internal drafting standards, as assigned.

**Requirements**

  • Technical degree or diploma from a recognized educational institution.
  • Experience with an engineering firm in oil and gas or energy-related industries is considered an asset.
  • Site and/or shop experience in the oil and gas industry is considered an asset.
  • Ability to travel to field locations may be required from time to time.
  • Strong analytical skills and comfortable facilitating multiple projects in a demanding environment with a willingness to work a flexible schedule.
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to take direction from more experienced designers.
